Chapter 1: Transiently Evoked OAEs (TEOAEs)
- Introduction:
- Test Procedures:
- Threshold and TEOAEs:
- Variables affecting the
TEOAEs:
- Methods of TEOAE signal analysis:
- A
MATLAB tool for analysis of Transient Evoked Otoacoustic Emission
signals : by Pekka Kumpulainen, Finland (1997). This link is
a reproduction of the article submitted to the MATLAB user contributions
space. It shows a pilot work on Time-Frequency analysis implemented
in an excellent way within the MATLAB programming environment.
- Applying
Signal Statistical Analysis To TEOAE Measurements : by Armin
Giebel, Germany (2001). This paper describes the foundations behind
the new statistical approach to TEOAE response evaluation, used
in the Echo-Screen apparatus.
- An introduction to
Time- Frequency (TF) analysis for a TEOAE interpretation by
Antoni Grzanka Ph.D. Editorial
article posted from November 2001 - January 2002.
- Time-Frequency analysis
of TEOAE responses by Antoni Grzanka Ph.D (powerpoint Lecture,
Level Advanced, Number of Slides 23
). This lecture was given during an International seminar at Ferrara
University in May 2000. The material is geared more to the technical
students of Hearing Science, but it might be a good introduction
of the Time-Frequency concepts to Audiologists and ENTs.
- Long-term
Reproducibility of the TEOAE time-frequency (TF) distributions:
by Wieslaw Konopka and Antoni Grzanka (2004). The paper describes
one of the earlier applications of Time-Frequency analysis in detecting
similarities on the spectrographic structure of the TEOAE responses
even recorded within long periods of time.
- Recurrence Quantification
analysis and Transient Otoacoustic Emissions : by Giovanna Zimatore,
Italy (2002). This paper describes the foundations behind an alternative
method of analyzing the structure of TEOAEs. The paper is for advanced
users with a certain experience in signal processing and statistics.
- Vivography
: A fast, accurate, and reliable new method for measuring DPOAE
and ASSR : by Xinde Li, Harold Wodlinger, and Yuri Sokolov, USA
(2003). This paper describes the foundations behind an alternative
method of analyzing the structure of DPOAEs and Steady State Potentials.
The paper is for advanced users with a certain experience in signal
processing, linear operators and matrix-math.
