Since neonatal screening is considered the main clinical application, very few signal processing packages have been developed the last 10 years, which are available for wider use.
- Stand-alone packages
- NAL-OAE1© from the National Acoustic Laboratories, Australia
- Echo-Master: A DOS-based TEOAE analysis program developed at Kresge labs in New Orleans. The program can run in a windows environment and provides a plethora of functions and TEOAE signal estimations. The only "downpart" is that the user has to think in terms of a "DOS" environment. The self-unzipping file contains the Echomaster executable (306 k) and a manual on how to use the program written by Linda Hood.
- Time-Frequency analysis package by Antoni Grzanka Ph.D., Technical University of Warsaw, Poland. NOTE for low-connection navigators: Due to the complex nature of the program the corresponding page contains a lot of images for a total weight of 270 k.
- MATLAB toolboxes
- A MATLAB tool for the Time-Frequency analysis of TEOAEs. For the present moment the main information is provided as a white paper, but we hope that the toolbox will be available soon for downloading.
- 1-D OAE generation models from the Ear-Lab of Boston University
- A TEOAE signal procesing package from the Otoacoustic Emissions Laboratory, Center of Bioacoustics, University of Ferrara. This package (all m-files are zipped) was developed as a BSc thesis and includes all the GUI code and a small sample of TEOAE data. If you need to use this package on your own TEOAE data you have to place the code (m-files) in MATLAB's Work sudirectory. The data have to be in a txt format. The program accepts both ILO-xx and Celesta datasets, but for the proper data visualization of the latter choice you have to correct the sampling frequency parameter (ADVANCED OPTIONS).
